I have finally been able to get our blog up and running again! I apologize for the delay! It has been a very busy week in room 8! Each student is bringing home their TWAS journal that talk about what we have been up to! Please take some time to read through it with your child and talk about their learning! Please sign and return their journal for Monday! Feel free to write a letter back to your child if you wish!
 We have arranged for a walking field study to Fish Creek Library. It will be on Wednesday October 9th from 12:30 – 3:30pm. We would like to have a few parents join us for this experience. If you are interested in supporting us on this field study, please email me right away. 
We will also be sending home forms for our next field study to Central Library and the Downtown core. This field study will be taking place on Wednesday October 16th from 9:15-3pm. Our time in the downtown core will include a learning task that will allow groups to independently experience a variety of buildings. This will require a number of volunteers to ensure small groups for this task. Please email me if you are available to support us during this field study. 
You must have a valid security clearance and have filled out the annual volunteer form. If you are unsure if you have these completed, please email me and I can look into it for you.

Our class has decided to have PJ day on Monday! The students are allowed to wear their PJ's to school. Please no slippers as they must have proper shoes on their feet. 

New book orders are coming home today! They need to be back by no later then October 25th!

Field Studies We are very excited for our field study on Wednesday! We now have enough volunteers for that field study! As we have so many field studies coming up forms will becoming out every week. It would greatly help me to have the forms returned as soon as possible so that I can keep on top of them! Studio Bell forms are coming home today. Please return them by Friday. Thank you to all of the parents who offered to volunteer for this trip! We have more than enough! We are still looking for volunteers for March 10th, and April 1st. In order to be able to take part in these activities we need to have at least 4 more volunteers for both dates. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are able to join us! Writing The students in room 8 are hard at work learning what verbs and adjectives are. They are using them to write more descriptive sentences that draw the reader in! June 22nd - 26th Learning Plans

Good afternoon Grade 3 Families,   This is a very sad week for us as this will be the last week where we see all of your wonderful faces on the google meet ups,  we will be reading t he last Friday letter you wrote to us and of course  watching  the  talent show to share your passions.  All the grade three teachers are sad to see the year come to an end.  On that note, we will be changing the time of the meet up this coming Friday. Instead of meeting at 1pm, we will be meeting at 9am. This will allow for siblings to watch the grade 4 celebration and be done b efore noon.
