Field Study

 We are going on another field study! (February and March are going to be packed with amazing adventures! Sorry about all of the paperwork!) If you have not returned the field study form for February 19th please do so on Tuesday, February 18th! We are going to Bow Habitat on February 26th, and are looking for 4 more volunteers to come with us! The forms for that field study are coming home today! They are due back next Friday - the 21st of February. 
Science Home Journals

 Thank you so much to those that returned their Science Home Journals this week! Just a reminder that the journals will be coming home on the last day of the week (Friday) and are due on the first day of the week (Monday). This week they will be coming home today, and are to be back at school on Tuesday! The question for this week is: 
February 12th 2020 
You have been given a giraffe to care for. What are the most important things you need to find out about the giraffe in order to make sure that it is well taken care of?
If your child didn't hand in their book this week please make sure they write the date and the question in their book and that they have completed this week, and last weeks assignment before handing it in on Tuesday. These questions are not meant to take more than 15-20 minutes! This is a way to encourage the students to think about the topics we are talking about in class and further their scientific communication! Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns! 
Long Weekend

Teacher's Convention weekend has finally arrived! I know the students are all ready for a break! They have been working so hard and have earned it! There is no school on Thursday, Friday, or Monday! We are back on Tuesday, February 18th! (Lots of time to work on their Science Home Journals!)

Field Studies We are very excited for our field study on Wednesday! We now have enough volunteers for that field study! As we have so many field studies coming up forms will becoming out every week. It would greatly help me to have the forms returned as soon as possible so that I can keep on top of them! Studio Bell forms are coming home today. Please return them by Friday. Thank you to all of the parents who offered to volunteer for this trip! We have more than enough! We are still looking for volunteers for March 10th, and April 1st. In order to be able to take part in these activities we need to have at least 4 more volunteers for both dates. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are able to join us! Writing The students in room 8 are hard at work learning what verbs and adjectives are. They are using them to write more descriptive sentences that draw the reader in! June 22nd - 26th Learning Plans

Good afternoon Grade 3 Families,   This is a very sad week for us as this will be the last week where we see all of your wonderful faces on the google meet ups,  we will be reading t he last Friday letter you wrote to us and of course  watching  the  talent show to share your passions.  All the grade three teachers are sad to see the year come to an end.  On that note, we will be changing the time of the meet up this coming Friday. Instead of meeting at 1pm, we will be meeting at 9am. This will allow for siblings to watch the grade 4 celebration and be done b efore noon.
