Wow! What a week! It has been so busy in room 8!


Studio Bell
The students had a blast on Wednesday at Studio Bell! It was an amazing opportunity to enhance the learning we have done around Hearing and Sound! I am sure that your child has filled you in on their favourite part(s) of the day! I am disappointed that I was unable to attend, but am very grateful to Ms. Brandley for going in my place!

Calgary Zoo
On Tuesday we will be going to the zoo to get a better understanding of the thought process that goes in to designing an enclosure for different types of animals. The students are very excited for this opportunity! We are looking for one more volunteer to help us make this trip a success! Please let me know as soon as possible if you are able to join us! If you have not returned your child's form please ensure that it is returned on Monday!

Science Home Journal
This weeks Science Home Journal question supports what we have been doing in class in regards to our enclosure design. The new question is:

 What is a zoo? Do you think zoo's are helpful or harmful? Why or why not? Explain your thinking.

If there are previous questions that have not been answered please support your child in completing them. These questions provide me with further insight into your child's understanding of different concepts we have been working on. It is very important that they complete these questions and return them on Mondays!

Field Studies We are very excited for our field study on Wednesday! We now have enough volunteers for that field study! As we have so many field studies coming up forms will becoming out every week. It would greatly help me to have the forms returned as soon as possible so that I can keep on top of them! Studio Bell forms are coming home today. Please return them by Friday. Thank you to all of the parents who offered to volunteer for this trip! We have more than enough! We are still looking for volunteers for March 10th, and April 1st. In order to be able to take part in these activities we need to have at least 4 more volunteers for both dates. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are able to join us! Writing The students in room 8 are hard at work learning what verbs and adjectives are. They are using them to write more descriptive sentences that draw the reader in! June 22nd - 26th Learning Plans

Good afternoon Grade 3 Families,   This is a very sad week for us as this will be the last week where we see all of your wonderful faces on the google meet ups,  we will be reading t he last Friday letter you wrote to us and of course  watching  the  talent show to share your passions.  All the grade three teachers are sad to see the year come to an end.  On that note, we will be changing the time of the meet up this coming Friday. Instead of meeting at 1pm, we will be meeting at 9am. This will allow for siblings to watch the grade 4 celebration and be done b efore noon.
