October 31st

Happy Halloween! We had a great time celebrating Halloween today! Take a look at your child's TWAS journal! They wrote all about it! There is no school tomorrow! Each student will be coming home with a survey for one person to fill out with them. This is for a project we are working on. Please take the time to rank each of the items in the categories from most important to least. The students may need a little reminder of what it is they are supposed to ask you to do! The instructions are written at the top of the page. Please return the survey on Monday. Have fun trick-or-treating!

Halloween Reminder

Tomorrow is Halloween! The students in room 8 are very excited to have the opportunity to show off their costumes! We as a staff are asking that the students refrain from wearing masks and bringing weapons to school. We also ask that the costumes not be violet or gory. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!

In Class Volunteers

Hello Parents! Many of you have mentioned to me that you would be interested in coming in and helping out in the class room! We are looking for volunteers to come in and read with the students each week! If this is something that is of interest to you please send me an email with your availability and I will make a calendar for November and December! Thank you! Mrs. Giborski

Our day was amazing! We got to explore the Central Library this morning! Ask me about the bookscelator (that's actually it's name), and how the books that are returned get sorted! There was a photo booth at the Library that we were allowed to use! There were lots of little work rooms for people to use for different activities.  After lunch at City Hall, we ventured out into downtown! We got to see the Calgary Tower, the Bow Tower, Telus Sky, the Bay building, Old City Hall, and Olympic Plaza! It was really cool to get the opportunity to see different buildings and learn about their histories! In our groups we had the opportunity to talk about the purpose of these buildings! We were very lucky with the weather! It turned out to be a beautiful day! At the Bow Tower we found a giant head sculpture! We also got to see the CBE statutes as well! There is art everywhere downtown! We even found colourful statues of gophers at Olympic Plaza.  People are going to be able to live at th...
