We survived Friday the 13th!

- We went to the iLab and learned about the new rules for it's use this year! (QM)
- We did a new version of Splat! We had to explain how we solved the problem! (JH)
- We did Morning Journal! Our question today was "Do you think littering is good or bad? Why or why not?" (SM)
- Today was TWAS day! Please read over my letter and sign it! Please make sure the book comes back on Monday! (ER)

Hello!  Welcome to our first week of on-line learning. Thank you to all our families for being patient as we learn how to use new platforms and how to best communicate with our families. We know there will be hic-ups along the way.   We would like to begin by explaining our thought process in how we will move forward. Google Classroom and Google Meet

Yesterday, our principal let you know that the Calgary Board of Education’s was activating Google Meet and Google Classroom to enable teachers and students to better connect with each other. This email outlines what to expect as we begin setting up times to connect with our students over the coming days. Accessing Google Classroom for the First Time Starting on Monday, April 6, we will be using Google Classroom as a learning platform as we continue ongoing learning from home. Below is a brief introduction to Google Classroom and how students at Maple Ridge School will be accessing the tool. Calgary Zoo We had an awesome time at the zoo on Tuesday! It was the perfect opportunity to have the students examine the enclosures of the various animals to look for ideas for their own enclosure designs. We also had the opportunity to see how the animals are cared for, both their health and their enclosures. A few of us had the chance to see a hippo get his teeth brushed! Thank you to all of the parent volunteers who were able to help make this trip a success!   Monday's Field Study Our field study on Monday has been cancelled.
